To claim this and that is great, but w/o actually supporting data is just more CSVN BS along the official Party line. Hmm ... where have we heard this before?

1) This Communist Party and the Socialist Republic experiments have failed Vietnam. Thang Ho promised a "society in which the people would rule, where they would be free, living in uniform happiness in a communal paradise". What was delivered and the actual reality are just the opposite.

Today, CSVN is a nation ruled by the Party elites, with no freedoms, no civil rights and no personal liberties - polar opposite of what was promised as anyone can see. Even some of the Party's elites have openly admitted this failure - reference Nguyen Vu Binh, Colonel Bui Tin, Dr. Duong Quynh Hoa and Tran Bach Dang. The ruled of the land is power, money and repression. How repressive? Enough to crush MeVietnam own admitted defeat "CÒN CAÌ CHUYỆN TIẾN Ở ĐÂU MÀ TUI NÓ CO ,MÌNH KHÔNG CÂN BIÉT,BIẾT CỮNG CHẢ GIÚP ĐƯỢC.HIỂU CHƯA".

In as much as this successful rebuilding of CSVN, data from world banks, CSVN very owned recorded GDP and economics indicators, IMF and etc ... doesn't support that neither. Due to poor management, corruption, ineffective controls, ineffective fundamental knowledge of basic economics, poor decision making and overall political ineptitude, CSVN economy tanked and was in stagnationary nose dive post '75. Not until the mid 1980's did some political reforms and overall adaptation of western, capitalistic policies and governance that CSVN economy lifted and people lives began to improve. As a direct result of these political and economic policies changes, CSVN avg. per capita rose approx. from the $110's per month to $1110's per month as of 2010.

2) China once ruled VN for over 1000+ year and both countries have fought many wars against each other. CSVN recently fought a war when China invaded VN in mid February of 1979 claiming over 10,000+ deaths on both side. Why? Just to teach CSVN a lesson and to test its defense strategy in fighting a two sided war fronts. Multiple post war skirmishes continues for many years after this invasion by China. Thus, what has already has been lost? The current CSVN government secede land (several kilometers) along the northern border and new demarcation posts, to the advantage of China, were then marked. And now, China has began her expansion and has already made claims on multiple islands including authoritarian controls over the entire South China Sea. Those are the historical facts that nobody can denied. What your ancestor fought and died for has now been signed over to China. If this isn't a sell out then what do you call it. The Land Reform Act? of 1950's? the 1970's? What will CSVN give in 2150? The entire counrty, since VN was once a province of China!


To claim to know hx, but yet once again Hx. repeats itself when you actually don't learn anything from it. Like I have said before, the Party is now God and king. No asian countries' histories have successfully displaced their established religious and cultural beliefs in as short of a time as CSVN! The total and absolute disintegration of VN is now complete. The future generation have no attachments to their history and the sheered lack of will to fight for it. You can thank Thang Ho for that.

1) Actually, I have never seen you as a VC. The war has been over for a long time. Did you learned anything from the war? A basic definition of VC doesn't fit your profile. Just the total opposite. 2) Funny, it was okay in prior replies and other threads to converse in English. And I didn't even belittle your English abilities. Now, already gave up? This only reinforce my statement of "The future generation have no attachments to their history and the sheered lack of will to fight for it".

Your request to converse in VN cannot be fufil due to the fact that you're not speaking the native tongue. Which version of VN are you referring to? The pre & post Chinese enslavement era? the jesuit era? the French colonial era? The logical sequence and reasoning is not too complicated for you? Is it? The current linguistic and phonetics are just a conglomeration of Chinese, French, US English and etc ... all meshed together. There is no cohesive national identity - all lost thanks to Thang Ho. What a legacy!

3) As to your picture of masses of former nationals returning home for the Lunar New Year, it's faulty logic again. It doesn't mean they support the current oppressive regime. Just the opposite! If you peel away the layers and dig some more, the answer is not that difficult! These former nationals come home to visit their families (that's it!) and then return home to their adoptive countries of residence! Why? Because they don't believe and have no confidence in CSVN. Hell, even down to the basics of justice and equitable compensation are laughable! And they know it!

For the ties that binds the family, they're paying respect to and following the cultural norms of their ancestors. Something that the Party clearly do not want to loose control! As I have stated before,

CSVN knows about this problem and have set up actual special departments within country and at all their embassies and consulates to try to entice former professional nationals to return home. Hell, multiple resolutions in the National Assembly have been passed to entice more nationals to return home since the 1990's.

Oh yeah, that picture also clearly demonstrates the lack of scientific and technological advancements in CSVN and the need of CSVN survival base upon the greenbacks cash flow. If my memory is correct, the US is now the biggest trading and investment partner for CSVN w/ > 15+ billions dollars as of 2012. For the past 2+ decaded since the Fall of South Vietnam, close to half of CSVN GDP came from nationals sending money home.

Just like Mr. One Nite stand (TMD), in one hand you reap its rewards and in the other you strike it down when it doesn't fit into your designs. Et tu Brutus? Will another 32 pieces of silver help ease your distention? How about 60 pieces of silver then? If this was in CSVN, the site would have been shut down and members would be hunted. Members would not have the abilities to voice their opinions in this oppressive regime! If this was true, your replies and participation would have been voided. Oops, sorry!
