Hơn 45 năm sinh sống ở Đức, tôi chưa bao giờ nghe chính phủ Đức có lời khuyên này đến người dân, ngay cả thời gian dịch Covid-19 lên cao nhất người dân cũng được khuyên không nên tích trữ lương thực, thực phẩm, giấy vệ sinh, nước thuốc sát trùng, sát khuẩn.
Thậm chí nhiều siêu thị (supermarkt) còn giới hạn số lượng mua hàng của khách, mỗi người chỉ được mua số lượng vừa đủ dùng mà thôi - nhằm tránh tình trạng tích trữ khiến hàng hóa bị khan hiếm.
