Các bản tin tiếng Việt trên Google News và Facebook đều bị chính quyền Cộng Sản thao túng. Các tin tức của các tổ chức Hải Ngoại đều bị chặn, đổi lại Google và Facebook tiếp tục được kiếm tiền từ thị trường Cộng Sản.

Vào khoảng 10:00 giờ đêm (giờ miền Đông Hoa Kỳ) ngày 28/1, trang Facebook của RFA tiếng Việt đột ngột bị mất các nội dung mới đăng trong năm 2025 và năm 2024 và chỉ hiện thị các nội dung từ năm 2023 trở về trước mà không rõ nguyên nhân.

Hiện tượng này cũng đồng thời xảy ra với các trang fan page tiếng Việt của VOA và BBC.

Một số độc giả của RFA đã kịp thời phát hiện tình trạng này và gửi hình ảnh, video cho RFA để tìm kiếm thông tin.

RFA đã liên hệ với phòng báo chí của Meta - công ty mẹ của Facebook - để tìm lời giải thích nhưng hiện chưa nhận được phản hồi.

Đây không phải là lần đầu tiên cả ba trang fan page tiếng Việt của RFA, VOA và BBC đều bị thay đổi nội dung đồng thời mà không rõ nguyên nhân.

Vào đêm ngày 29/10/2020 (giờ miền Đông Hoa Kỳ), cả ba trang đều bị đổi tên không rõ nguyên nhân. Đài Á Châu Tự Do bị đổi thành “Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam muôn năm”, BBC News Tiếng Việt bị chuyển thành “Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh vĩ đại” và VOA Tiếng Việt trở thành “Đông Lào Muôn Năm”.

Cả ba đài RFA, BBC và VOA đã bị chính quyền và báo chí Nhà nước Việt Nam chỉ trích nhiều lần vì đưa các tin bài bị cho là chỉ trích chính phủ.

Nội dung đăng tải trên Facebook của RFA, BBC, VOA và nhiều tổ chức khác đã bị Chính phủ Việt Nam đề nghị Facebook cấm hiển thị ở Việt Nam.

Facebook đã chặn quyền truy cập đối với người dùng tại Việt Nam đối với hàng trăm ngàn bài và video theo báo cáo từ Cục Phát thanh, truyền hình và thông tin điện tử (ABEI) thuộc Bộ Thông tin và Truyền thông (MIC) và Bộ Công an (MPS).

At around 10:00 p.m. (Eastern time) on January 28, RFA's Vietnamese Facebook page suddenly lost new content posted in 2025 and 2024 and only displayed content from 2023 and earlier for unknown reasons.

This phenomenon also occurred at the same time on the Vietnamese fan pages of VOA and BBC.

Some RFA readers promptly discovered this situation and sent images and videos to RFA to seek information.

RFA contacted the press office of Meta - Facebook's parent company - to seek an explanation but has not yet received a response.

This is not the first time that the content of all three Vietnamese fan pages of RFA, VOA and BBC has been changed simultaneously without a clear reason.

On the night of October 29, 2020 (Eastern US time), all three pages were renamed without a clear reason. Radio Free Asia was changed to "Long Live the Communist Party of Vietnam", BBC News Vietnamese was changed to "Great President Ho Chi Minh" and VOA Vietnamese became "Long Live Dong Lao".

All three stations RFA, BBC and VOA have been criticized many times by the Vietnamese government and state press for publishing news articles deemed to be critical of the government.

The content posted on Facebook by RFA, BBC, VOA and many other organizations has been requested by the Vietnamese government to be banned from display in Vietnam by Facebook.

Facebook has blocked access for users in Vietnam to hundreds of thousands of articles and videos, according to reports from the Authority of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information (ABEI) under the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).
